Crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, but also various bandages, braces, bandages, stockings or toilet attachments. All this is offered to its clients by the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy, which has a wide range of these medical devices, which are increasingly in demand. Most of the aids can be tried out first and everyone can choose exactly the ones that suit them. The selection is really large, so it rarely happens that the pharmacy has to order something in a hurry.

Crutches and walking sticks are no longer the old unsightly gadgets that used to annoy us. Their current form and functionality is something else, as is the choice, which is really great in the Senimed pharmacy in Horovice. "Pharmacies do not usually deal with medical devices to the same extent as we do, so I think we offer our clients a certain superiority. The French crutches we have here are much more comfortable than before and look really nice. Of course, they're also adjustable in different ways, and in addition to that, people can also choose suitable underarm crutches or canes. We also have children's crutches, which are nicely coloured, or different types of walkers," said Tomáš Veverka, the head of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy.

The pharmacy also offers patients ostomy aids, which are used by people with a small or large intestine outlet or a bladder outlet on the abdominal wall. "We buy these aids from six different companies, but if it happens that we do not have exactly what the patient needs, it is not a problem for us to reorder the item," said Tomáš Veverka, who also said that there is interest in toilet attachments, which make the patient's life much easier, especially after surgery. The pharmacy also offers breast epithets for women after breast surgery or a wide selection of incontinence aids to help with urine leakage.

The Hořovice Hospital pharmacy also offers a wide selection of elastic stockings, both calf, thigh, lace, hem or open or closed toe. The patient is usually given a voucher from the doctor, but can also purchase them himself, as well as a special threader that makes it easier to put on the stockings. The pharmacy also has various shoe aids such as heel pads, bunion correctors or spurs. "Lumbar belts are also a special chapter, of which we have a plethora. Everybody's back hurts, so these aids are in great demand, as are knee braces, ankle braces or bandages. Everything is modern and it looks good," said the head of the Hořovice Hospital Pharmacy, who said that it is also good to keep an eye on various price promotions that make medical devices a bit cheaper. "At the moment, for example, there is a special pressure gauge that patients often buy, which has a cuff designed for both thin and thicker arms," added Tomáš Veverka, adding that due to the great interest, the pharmacy will soon also make available a new online shop where people will be able to purchase the aids themselves.
