MUDr. Exnerová stood at the birth of the modern form of the children's ward in Hořovice and with her expertise and human approach she significantly contributed to its good name among patients and colleagues. In her new role, she will continue to develop interdisciplinary cooperation across the hospital and strengthen the continuity of care for patients with serious or chronic illness.
"I have always believed that quality care does not end at the door of the outpatient clinic or inpatient department. Our job is to accompany patients and their families and be there for them even in difficult situations. In fact, this means not only seeking effective relief from the physical manifestations of a serious illness, but also offering comprehensive help in other important areas such as psychological, social and spiritual. I am grateful for the trust the hospital has placed in me and I look forward to a new phase of our work together," said Mahulena Exnerová, MD.
MUDr. Jiří Jiráček, the current deputy head and head of the inpatient part of the ward, will now take over the management of the children's ward. MUDr. Jiráček is a respected expert with many years of experience in the field of paediatric care, who has long been involved in the development of comprehensive care for the youngest patients in our hospital.
This staff change is an important step towards further strengthening the quality and complexity of care that Hořovice Hospital provides to pediatric and adult patients and their families with respect, empathy and emphasis on the individual needs of each patient.
