The maternity hospital U Sluneční brány in the Hořovice Hospital is very popular thanks to its qualified staff, who provide maximum care for both the parent and the baby. But equally important for future mothers is the pro-client approach and above-standard care in a pleasant environment, where mothers feel relaxed and safe. Every year we deliver around 1600 babies and rightfully it has the status of the largest maternity hospital in the Central Bohemia Region.
Since 2014, the maternity hospital has had the status of a Perinatology Intermediate Care Centre, which allows it to provide care to newborns born from the 30th week of pregnancy. After a recent reconstruction, it offers four completely separate delivery rooms equipped with the latest technology. The maternity ward also includes an operating theatre for caesarean sections and a six-week ward.
As part of an individual discussion, a midwife will personally introduce you to the delivery rooms and the six-week ward. During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about admission to the maternity ward, the birth itself and aftercare. All this in a relaxed atmosphere and directly with the midwife of your choice. You can also participate in the individual discussion with your partner or a companion who will be with you on the day of delivery.
"The session is suitable for all mothers-to-be throughout their pregnancy. More information about individual talks for mothers and the possibility of registration can be found on the website," adds the head nurse of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department, Mgr. Pavla Fíkarová.
