Mrs. Burešová intended to give birth to her son here, and although she eventually chose another place, she liked our maternity ward so much that she decided to make a donation to our endowment fund and donate blankets for the babies in the neonatal ward. The Zirafka Endowment Fund was established to help and support all pediatric patients hospitalized in the three pediatric wards of the Hořovice Hospital. It is intended for the neonatal ward with an intensive care unit caring for newborns from the 31st week of pregnancy, the children's ward, which provides care for children of all ages, and the chronic resuscitation and intensive care ward for children who cannot be cared for at home due to a serious diagnosis.
