Since most expectant mothers are looking for information on how to best prepare for the arrival of the baby, we bring you an overview of the most basic baby first aid kit. So below you will find both the so-called general equipment that should be included in a first aid kit regardless of the age of the baby, as well as a suggestion of medication equipment according to the symptoms of diseases. It is not necessary, of course, to follow this outline literally. Simply any of the listed medicines of each group is sufficient. For example, the registering GP for children can help you with the selection of individual medicines.


General contents: thermometer, plasters, sterile squares, sterile bandages, tweezers, scissors, disinfectant (eg, Betadine), gloves.

Paralen or Panadol, Brufen, Nurofen or Ibalgin, it is advisable to have both suppositories and syrups or tablets (for older children).

Anti-runny nose medication: saline solution for flushing the nose - Libenar, sea water - e.g. Sterimar. To relieve the nose - eg Nasivin 0.01% or 0.025%, Otrivin, Olynth.

Cough suppressants: Ditustat, Stoptussin, Robitussin, Levopront, Sinecod, Stopcough.

Mucosolvan, Ambrobene, ACC, herbal syrups - plantain, motherwort.

Allergy or itching medications - antihistamines: Fenistil, Zodac, Zyrtec, Aerius, Claritine, Xyzal.

Medicines against diarrhea, or for vomiting: probiotics (Hylak, lactobacilli), Smecta, Kulíšek.

Medicines for diaper dermatitis: Pevaryl, Imazol, Ictamo.

Eye drops: Ophthalmo-septonex, Ophtal eye water, pine water.
