During Wednesday morning, traditional markets are held on Hus Square in Beroun. From the beginning of April you can always find the stalls of the Hospital Hořovice and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun among the sales stands.
This year was no different and today, 10 April 2019, as part of the globally recognized Health Day, health professionals measured blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
"These events are very popular among people. Around 150 people stopped by during those few hours. They were mostly interested in blood sugar levels, but surprisingly, the worse readings came out when measuring blood pressure. As a reward for taking an interest in their health and having their values measured, visitors to our stand were given fruit and information materials, including a leaflet "ten healthy lifestyle", which everyone should follow," commented Irena Macková, station nurse at the Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinics. "Visitors were also interested in the wide range of medical care provided by the Hořovice Hospital and the possibilities of rehabilitation at the hospital in Beroun," added the nurse of the Beroun hospital.
